Approach

Built for the decision at the end

AI made output effectively unlimited. The number of things a person can weigh and decide did not change. Everything we do sits in that gap.

The thesis

Human judgment is the part that does not scale

You can now generate a hundred versions of anything in a minute. A hundred subject lines, a hundred candidate plans, a hundred paragraphs of analysis. What you cannot do is weigh a hundred of them. Somebody still has to look at a small number of real options and choose, and be accountable for the choice.

So the useful question was never how much AI can produce. It is how much of the noise can be cleared before it reaches the person who has to decide, and how good the few things that survive are.

That is what a session with us actually does. Not more output. Less of it, better ordered, with the judgment call left where it belongs.

How we think about it

Scattered, then sorted

Most people do not have an AI problem. They have a Tuesday problem: forty open things, no obvious order, and a tool everyone says should help.

Order is the deliverable. One beam of undifferentiated light is useless to you. Separate it into parts you can tell apart and you can finally work with it. The same is true of a week: the work does not get smaller, it gets sorted. This can be carried by AI. This needs you. This should not be happening at all.

That sorting is not a framework we hand you. It is what we do together, on your own work, in the first hour.

Principles

The five principles

  • Built around you

Every session is shaped by your role, your tools, and the problems actually in front of you. Nothing generic, no curriculum, no assumed knowledge.

  • Vendor-agnostic

We do not sell software and we take nothing from anyone whose product we might recommend. Sometimes the right answer is a free tool, and sometimes it is no tool.

  • No jargon

We work with people at every level of technical comfort. If you need a glossary to follow a session, the session was badly run.

  • Practical by design

The goal of every session is something you can use immediately. If you leave with notes and no working thing, we did it wrong.

  • What you build, you keep

It lives in your accounts, on your infrastructure, in your hands. When the engagement ends, nothing switches off and nothing has to be renewed.

How we started

It started as a webinar for classmates

We met as executive MBA classmates. A few of us started running an AI webinar series for our own program, mostly because we were each using these tools at work and wanted to compare notes. It grew into a student AI business club running sessions every other week for classmates, faculty, other student groups, and the school’s advisory board.

We were not teaching theory. We were showing people how we actually used AI inside real organizations, and what had gone wrong when we tried. People kept asking for more, so after graduation we made it a firm.

The firm started out pointed at companies. Then we paid attention to the question we kept being asked, and it was not coming from companies. It was coming from people: a manager who felt behind, a founder with no time, someone who had paid for a subscription for eight months and still only used it to rewrite emails. That is who we built this version for.

The name

Master Business AI

MBAI is Master Business AI. The name came out of the program where we met, and it keeps the joke honest: an MBA teaches you to run a business, and this is the part nobody taught any of us.

Master is the verb, not the credential. The point is not that we have mastered this. It is that you can, on your own work, faster than you think, with someone sitting next to you.

Work with us

Tell us what your week looks like. We will tell you honestly whether an hour with us is worth your time.
